Origin of the raw material: Madagascar

The dark Labradorite belongs to the Feldspar group. The themes for which the dark labradorite is used in stone healing are reflection and truth, intuition, depth of feeling and mental gifts.

In the 18th century, the first labradorites arrived in Europe after they were found in 1770 on the Canadian peninsula of Labrador. The mineral was given its name "Labradorite" in 1832 by the French mineralogist and professor François Bedaunt (1787 - 1850) because of its location on the Labrador Peninsula. Occasionally encountered spellings such as labardorite, labradoride, labradoriet, labradorite, labratorite or lapradorite are therefore incorrect.
