Thulite is used in gemstone healing when support is needed to jump over one's own shadow and take on challenges.

Origin of the rough material: Norway

The reddish color of the mineral is caused by manganese, which is why Thulite is also known as manganese oisite.

The mineral Thulite was given its name in 1823 by the London mineralogist Henry James Brooke. It was named after the legendary island of Thule, the northern end of the world in Germanic mythology. The name was probably chosen because at the beginning of the 19th century there was only one known localities of Thulite in Norway. The spellings Tulit, Thulith, Thuilit or Thullit are therefore not correct.
