The Smooth Stones made of Astrophyllite are approx. 2.5 - 4.0cm in size and about 1cm thick. In the packaging unit of 0,5kg are approx. 35 - 40 Smooth Stones included.
The Smooth Stones are clearly two-colored: the dark needles of Astrophyllite and the light matrix of Syenite.
Stone healing according to Michael Gienger uses Astrophyllite to support the perception of needs and to strengthen inspiration as well as truthfulness.
The mineral received its name in 1854 by the geologist and mineralogist Theodor Scheerer, who named Astrophyllite after the Greek words ástron (star) and phyllon (leaf) due to its leafy crystals and cleavage as well as the star-shaped aggregate forms. The in retail as well as in wholesale occasionally encountered spellings like astrophylite, astrophylite, astrophillite or astrophylite are therefore not correct.
