A real rarity!

Genuine Thulite is rarely found today; therefore the cabochons have different shapes, e.g. drop, Marquise, freeform or rectangular. The size of the drilled thulite stones is between approx. 3 and 4 cm, the hole is approx. 2.5 mm in size.

Thulite, also known as pink or red Zoisite, is used in gemstone healing to help overcome challenges. With the support of the mineral, it is easier to jump over one's own shadow and live out one's own wishes and fantasies.

The reddish color of the mineral is caused by manganese.

The mineral Thulite was given its name in 1823 by the London mineralogist Henry James Brooke. It was named after the legendary island of Thule, the northern end of the world in Germanic mythology. The name was probably chosen because at the beginning of the 19th century there was only one known localities of Thulite in Norway. The spellings Tulit, Thulith, Thuilit or Thullit are therefore not correct.
