The chrysoberyl necklace is 45cm long; the extension chain makes the necklace up to 49cm long. The buttons have a diameter of 2mm (at the Clasp) to 6mm (in the middle), that is, the necklace is worked in the course.
Clasp and chain extension are made of gold-plated silver 925.
The raw material comes from Sri Lanka, the high-quality faceting was done in India.

The name Chrysoberyl is derived from the Greek words "chrysos" (gold) and "beryllos" (beryl). Spellings like chrysoberill, crysoberryl or even gold beryll are therefore not correct. The spelling krisoberil used in 1789 in the first scientific description of chrysoberryl by Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749 - 1817) has not been accepted.
