Beautiful dark amethyst nuggets - can be used for many designs!
Size of the polished nuggets approx. 10-12 x 8-10mm; length of the amethyst strand approx. 40cm.
The name amethyst is derived from the Greek word amethystos (counteracting intoxication) and refers to the traditional belief that with an amethyst you are protected against the intoxicating effects of wine and other alcohol. Spellings such as Amathyst, Amethist, Ametist, Ametyhst, Ametyst, Amnethyst, Amthyst or Amythist are therefore incorrect.
