The luminous apatite beads (stab.) in different blue-green shades have a diameter of 4mm; the whole apatite strand is about 39cm long.
Stone healing uses apatite to strengthen motivation and overcome listlessness.
The name apatite is derived from the Greek word "apatáo" meaning "to deceive" and was coined in 1786 by the German mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749 - 1817). Since apatite occurs in numerous different forms and colors, there is a great danger that apatite will be confused with another mineral. Spellings like apartith, apathite, apatite, appatite or apatiet are not correct.
