The small drops of bright green-blue Apatite inspire with the contrast of the delicate shape with the rough surface. Each droplet is about 7-8 x 10-13mm in size; in the middle of the apatite strand the largest drops are threaded, towards the two sides the stones become smaller. In total, the strand has a length of about 44cm.

In gemstone medicine according to Michael Gienger, the effect of apatite is appreciated when motivation is to be strengthened and determination is to be supported.

The name apatite is derived from the Greek word "apatáo" for "to deceive" and was coined in 1786 by the German mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749 - 1817). Since apatite occurs in numerous different forms and colors, there is a great danger that apatite will be mistaken for another mineral. Spellings like apartith, apathite, apatite, appatite or apatiet are not correct.
