These beautiful chain strands have been cut from Charoite and intergrown minerals. The black areas are either Augite or Aegirine, greenish spots in the Charoite are Feldspar. Light or translucent areas are mostly canasite, yellowish-brown spots tinaksite.
Diameter of the spheres 10 - 11mm, length of the charoite strands about 39cm.
Charoite is important in stone healing to strengthen determination and drive; the mineral can help make important decisions and get through busy times well.
The name Charoite is derived from the site near the Russian river Chara. More correct would be the German name Tscharoit, but this name is not used in retail or wholesale. Occasional spellings like Chaoirt, Caroit, Charoid or Charoiet are not correct.
