The strand of Dalmatian Jasper (Aplite) is about 40cm long, the balls of Dalmatian Stone have a diameter of 12mm.

The Dalmatian Stone is used in situations where strengthening and reflection are needed to think through projects well and then implement them powerfully.

The Dalmatian Stone takes its name from the dog breed of the same name with the dark dots on a light background. Mineralogy knows the Dalmatian Stone as aplite. According to examinations by the Institute for Gemstone Testing, Dalmatian Stone is white to light gray, fine-grained, sometimes zoned gangue rock, which consists mainly of potassium feldspar and quartz. The black spots in the rock are amphibole.

The mineralogical name for the Dalmatian Jasper is Hornblende or Aplite; the occasionally in retail and wholesale encountered name Porphyry or Porphyrite for the Dalmatian Stone is mineralogically incorrect.
