Lapis lazuli A faceted buttons are about 2mm thick and 4mm in diameter.
The strands are 40cm long and strung for transport. We recommend that you always replace the transport thread with suitable knotting material.
The name Lapis Lazuli is derived from the Latin words "lapis" (stone) and lazulum (blue). Different spellings such as lapis lazuli, lapis lazuli or lapis lazuli are not correct. Due to the long fame of lapis lazuli, there are numerous synonyms. These include azure d'acre, azurum ultramarinum, bleu d'azure, lapis lazuli ultramarine, lazure stone/lazure stone, lazurium, oltremare, oriental blue, outremer lapis, pierre d'azur, ultramarine genuine, ultramarine ino/verdadero, ultramarine natural scythium.
