The Rhodochrosite balls have a diameter of 8mm, the ball strands are 39.5cm long.

Rhodochrosite is important in stone medicine, when a gemstone with activating effect is needed, so that upcoming tasks go easily from the hand.

Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749-1817) first named rhodochrosite manganese spar, taking into account its chemical composition and good cleavability. In 1813 Friedrich Hausmann (1782-1859) gave the Rhodochrosite its name "Rhodochrosite" which is still valid today. This is derived from the ancient Greek words "rhodo" (rose) and "chrosite" (color). Spellings like Rhodhocrosite, Rhodochosite, Rhodocrosite, Rodhocrhosite, Rodochrosite or Rodocrosite are therefore not correct. Nowadays obsolete names for the Rhodochrosite are Incaspat/Inkarose, Raspberry spar, Rose spar and Manganese spar.
