The pink-black spheres of Rhodonite that have been strung for this 40cm gemstone strand have the diameter of 3mm, which is unusual for strandware.
Supporting mutual understanding and forgiveness is the classic application of Rhodonite in stone healing.
The first scientific description of Rhodonite was made in 1819 by the German naturalist Christoph Friedrich Jasche. The pink color inspired Jasche to name it "Rhodonite," which is derived from the Greek word "rhodon" meaning rose or rose-scented. Occasional spellings like rhodonite, rodonite or rodonite are therefore not correct.
