This gemstone strand shows with pink-pink and black the two typical colors of the mineral Rhodonite. The faceted stone beads of the strand are 2mm in diameter, the entire rhodonite strand has a length of 39cm.
In analytical stone healing, the Rhodonite is used because it supports the themes of "understanding" and "forgiveness" by its effect.
The first scientific description of Rhodonite was made in 1819 by the German naturalist Christoph Friedrich Jasche. The pink color inspired Jasche to name it "Rhodonite," which is derived from the Greek word "rhodon" meaning rose or rose-scented. Occasional spellings like rhodonite, rodonite or rodonite are therefore not correct.
