The gemstone strands are about 40cm long and strung for transport. We recommend that you always replace the transport thread with suitable knotting material.
The first find of Pietersite was made in 1962 by the mineral dealer Sidney "Sid" Pieters in Namibia (then Southwest Africa); the stone is named after him. The spelling petersite, pieterisite
or Pietersiet is therefore not correct.
