Strand Button, Rubellite A, faceted, 02 x 03mm (39cm)

The intense pink faceted button discs have a diameter of about 3mm and a thickness of about 2mm, the whole tourmaline strand has a length of about 39cm.

Rubellite (pink or red Tourmaline) is used in stone healing when the invigorating energy of the mineral is needed. The stone makes sociable and supports to dedicate oneself emphatically to a project.

The name rubellite is derived from the Latin word "rubellus" (red); spellings such as rubelite, rubbelite or rubellite are therefore incorrect. Since the Urals were the most important locality for Rubellite until the 1920s, the synonym "Siberian Ruby" is still occasionally found in the literature.
