The interesting reticulated patterns are achieved through a special technique in which the gemstone strands are heated, creating fine cracks in the surface of the Agate.

If the gemstone beads come into contact with skin oils, creams, cosmetics or the like, the cracks in the surface of the agate beads are filled and the reticulation pattern is less visible. Therefore, if the drawings of stone varieties with crack patterns are to be preserved permanently, it is best if the stones do not come into contact with the skin.

All strands are 38-40cm long and strung for transport. We recommend that you always replace the transport thread with suitable knotting material.
