What a rarity!

Size of the shattuckite beads 6 - 7mm, length of the bead strand approx. 40cm. Each strand always contains beads of the same size.

Origin of the raw material for the shattuckite beads: Kaokoveld Plateau, Namibia

The mineral was first discovered in the Shattuck Mine near Bisbee (Arizona, USA) and was first described in 1915 by the mineralogist and geologist Waldemar Theodore Schaller (1882 - 1967). Schaller then named the newly discovered mineral after the type locality, i.e. the first place where it was found. Spellings such as shattuckite, shattukite, shattukite or shatukite are therefore incorrect.

As shattuckite is often accompanied by three other minerals such as quartz, Malachite and chrysocolla, the stone is also referred to as Quantum Quattro in esoteric literature from the English-speaking world.
