Strand Button, Spinel (black), faceted, 01,5 x 02mm

The faceted spinel buttons are 1.5mm thick and have a diameter of 2mm.

The total length of the spinel strand is about 40cm; ideally suited for a bracelet and a pair of matching earrings, for example.

Black Spinel is significant in stone healing when discipline, structure in thinking and consistency in action are to be supported.

There are two theories for the origin of the name Spinel: Either Spinel derives from the Greek "spin(n)os" (to sparkle) or from the Latin "spinella" (small thorn). Since the 16th century, various spellings of the mineral have been used in Europe, such as spynell, spinella, and spinellus. Today the spelling Spinel is common, occasionally Spinnell can be found.
