Thor was a powerful Germanic god, who caused the blow of his hammer lightning and thunder on earth. The amulet symbolizes inner strength, courage, drive and protection from enemies. During the transition period from paganism to Christianity, wearing the amulet showed the affiliation to the "old (pagan) faith".
