The elegant pendant consists of a square mabe pearl (approx. 20 x 20mm) and a faceted white Labrodorite (8mm).
The settings and the eyelet are made of silver 925; the eyelet has an inner diameter of 4mm.
Overall, the bead pendant has a size of 4.5 x 2.4cm.
Mabe pearls get their name from the shell "Mabe-Gai" (Pteria penguin) in which they grow. Unlike many other pearls, the Mabe pearl grows on the inside of the shell. This is how the typical shape of these pearls is formed: Flat on one side, semicircular curved on the other; therefore, this shape is also called half pearl. Very attractive are also pieces of jewelry, in which in addition to the actual pearl, the shell surrounding it is also used.
