The elegant pendant consists of a square mabe pearl (approx. 20 x 20mm) and a faceted white Labrodorite (8mm).
The settings and the eyelet are made of 925 silver; the eyelet has an inner diameter of 4mm.
Overall, the bead pendant measures 4.5 x 2.4 cm.
Mabe pearls take their name from the mussel "Mabe-Gai" (Pteria penguin) in which they grow. Unlike many other pearls, the mabe pearl grows on the inside of the Mussel shell. This is how the typical shape of these pearls is formed: Flat on one side, semi-curved on the other; this is why this shape is also known as a half pearl. Pieces of jewelry in which the surrounding Mussel shell is used in addition to the actual pearl are also very attractive.
