Intense red-orange color, but still not an endangered coral species!

This classic pendant made of rhodium-plated silver 925, is incl. the eyelet 2,0 x 1,0cm big. The oval cabochon is 11 x 9mm, weighs about 5ct and is set in bezel. Frame setting and eyelet are made of rhodium-plated silver 925; inner diameter of eyelet 4mm.

The red fossilized horn coral comes from Riley's Canyon near Kamas in Utah. The corals were formed about 300 million years ago; therefore, they are not endangered coral species living today!

The former coral reefs are nowadays high in the mountains of Utah. Since the coral is no longer mined, it is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain cabochons or coral jewelry with beautiful designs.
