Intense red-orange color, but still not an endangered coral species!

These classic Earstuds made of rhodium-plated silver 925 are incl. settings 1.4cm tall. The round cabochons are 13mm in size, weigh about 22.5ct and are set in zarge. The frame settings, pins and Nut are made of rhodium plated silver 925.

The red fossilized horn coral comes from Rileys Canyon near Kamas in Utah. The corals were formed about 300 million years ago, so they are not endangered coral species living today!

The former coral reefs are nowadays high in the mountains of Utah. Since the coral is no longer mined, it is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain cabochons or coral jewelry with beautiful designs.
