An absolute rarity as earrings: the Zeoliht variety pink Natrolite!
In Java (Indonesia) on the island of Nusa Kambangan, lava fissures were filled with ferrous Natrolite millions of years ago. This is how the extremely rare pink-colored, compact Natrolite was formed, from which the beautiful cabochon for this fine piece of jewelry was cut.
Size of the frame-set Natrolite cabochons 10mm, length of the earrings including Leverbacks 3.6 x 1.4cm. Leverbacks and settings are made from highly polished, platinum-coated 925 silver.
The name Natrolite is made up of the word "Natron" and the Greek word "lithos" (stone). Synonyms for Natrolite are apoanalcite, brevicite, cockalite, crocalite, epinatrolite, höganite, lehuntite and sodium mesotype. The name pink Larimar, which is occasionally found in the trade, is misleading and mineralogically incorrect.
Stone weight Natrolite 4.5ct, silver weight 3.3g.
