The high-quality coat of arms varnish from Gutenberg was originally developed as a sealing varnish, but is ideal as a varnish for varnishing.
The sticks are approx. 13 cm long and weigh approx. 19 grams.
The high-gloss varnish is manufactured in Germany and is characterized by its high quality in terms of hardness and gloss.
Shellac has been used for many centuries in the manufacture of gemstone necklaces. Due to its low melting point, silver Shellac is easy to work with when enameling chain clasps.
The word "Shellac" is derived from the Dutch terms "schel" (shell, scale) and "lak" (lacquer). The spelling Shellac has prevailed over other possible spellings, e.g. Schelack, Shellack or Schellak. Other, sometimes misleading, names for pearl glue are table lacquer, flat lacquer, lacca in tabulis, gum lacquer (rubber lacquer) and lacquer resin.
