According to stone healing, the delicate green prehnite helps us to pause for a moment in lively times, when repressed images and memories from the depths come to light. Unpleasant realizations can be accepted more easily with its help, so that we ultimately emerge from this time stronger and more aware of ourselves. The sometimes necessary analytical-sober way of looking at things is strengthened with the help of the stone, so that we are able to perceive the impressions from our surroundings faster and more differentiated.

The Hornblende contained in many Prehnites helps to release feelings of turmoil and tension by allowing each inner stirring enough space to ultimately achieve the successful unity and integration of all personality aspects.

Very fine quality: soft green, transparent, many stones with Hornblende inclusions
size of the stones: approx. 3 - 4cm (XL)
0,5 kg/VE

The mineral Prehnite got its name after Colonel Hendrik von Prehn (1733 - 1785); spellings like Phrenite, Prenhite, Prenith or Phrenite are therefore not correct. Von Prehn brought back samples from the Cape of Good Hope in 1783 and had them examined by the mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner. The latter described the material and named it after von Prehn then Prehnite. The stone is the first mineral that is named after a person.

Trade names for the Prehnt are cape chrysolite and cape emerald, earlier common names are aedelite, chiltonite, coupholite and edelite.

Origin of the raw material: Prospect Hill Quarry (New South Wales)
