Gabbro (low quartz plutonite) is the stone for a new beginning, for overcoming old-established behaviors. One's own needs can be better perceived through Gabbro - when planning new undertakings, these are then included in the preparations. Gabbro is also sold in retail and wholesale under the name Mystic Merlinite.

Gabbro got its name from the Tuscan village of Gabbro, near which the mineral was first found and described. Occasionally encountered spellings like Gabro, Gappro or Gabbra are therefore not correct. Since the Gabbro occasionally also shows a blue sheen, the mineral is also called Indigogabbro.
