Aquamarine is used in stone healing according to Michael Gienger to support foresight, perseverance and discipline.
The blue-green beryl has been known since ancient times, but the mineral was not given its name until the Renaissance. Aquamarine is derived from the Latin term "aqua marina" for "sea water" and alludes to the color of the stone.
