As a classic "learning stone", the multicolored fluorite (also known as rainbow fluorite) is used in gemstone healing when structure, order and concentration are required.
The name fluorite is derived from the Latin fluere (to flow) and refers to the mining term fluorspar for fluorite. Spellings such as florid, florite, fluoride, fluorite, fluoride or fluride are therefore incorrect.
