Cabochons are very popular because they are comfortable against the skin. They can be worn beautifully on a (colored) leather or Silk Cord or - somewhat more elegantly - with a Change Arc on a Precious metal hoop.
According to gemstone healing, Rhodochrosite promotes activity, liveliness, eroticism and spontaneous expressions of emotion. It has a mood-enhancing effect, brings energy and makes you feel light and buoyant so that upcoming tasks can be mastered easily and successfully.

Origin of the raw material Rhodochrosite: Argentina
Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749-1817) initially named rhodochrosite manganese spar, taking into account its chemical composition and good Cleavability. Friedrich Hausmann (1782-1859) gave rhodochrosite its current name "Rhodochrosite" in 1813. This is derived from the ancient Greek words "rhodo" (rose) and "chrosit" (color). Spellings such as rhodhocrosite, rhodochosite, rhodocrosite, rodhocrhosite, rodochrosite or rodocrosite are therefore incorrect. Nowadays, obsolete names for Rhodochrosite are Inkaspat/Inkarose, raspberry spar, rose spar and manganese spar.
