The bright green donuts made from Variscitin Matrix have a diameter of approx. 2.5 - 2.9 cm.

Stone healing according to Michael Gienger uses Variscite to promote clear expression and a sober, rational attitude. The stone is also valued for its uplifting and balancing effect.
The name Variscite is derived from the first known localities of the mineral in Vogtland (Latin: Varisca); the spellings Varizit or Variskit are therefore incorrect.
Occasionally found synonyms are utalite, Californian Turquoise or Utha Turquoise.
