The bright green donuts made from variscite have a diameter of approx. 3.0 - 3.4 cm. The hole has a diameter of approx. 7mm and is therefore suitable for donut spirals.
Each piece is unique - unique in its mixture of green mineral and gray matrix; therefore the photo is only an example.
Stone healing according to Michael Gienger uses Variscite to promote clear expression and a sober, rational attitude. The stone is also valued for its uplifting and balancing effect.
The name Variscite is derived from the first known localities of the mineral in Vogtland (Latin: Varisca); the spellings Varizit or Variskit are therefore incorrect.
Occasionally found synonyms are utalite, Californian Turquoise or Utha Turquoise.
