This figure combines the beauty of the gemstone with the lightness of the butterfly.

It is designed e.g. for the exchange system for front drilled stones, e.g. model "Flower" order no. 242005110024, but can also be worn quite simply on a cloth band.

Size: approx. 60 x 55 mm

Other names for the green Rhyolite are Meta-Rhyolite, Jungle Jasper, Eye Jasper, Eye Stone, Rain Forest Jasper and Rain Forest Stone.

In many cultures, butterflies are considered a symbol of change and transformation because of their transformation from an inconspicuous caterpillar through pupation to a dazzling, colorful insect.

The first scientific description of rhyolite was made in 1860 by Baron Ferdinand von Richthofen (1833 - 1905). The name rhyolite is derived from the two Greek words "rhein" (to flow) and "lithos" (stone) and alludes to the volcanic origin. Of several possible spellings, e.g. rhiolite, riolite, ryholite or ryolite, rhyolite has become accepted in retail and wholesale. Eye jasper is a well-known synonym; the terms quartz porphyry and liparite are outdated.
