The raw material for these donuts comes from a quarry near Aheim in western Norway. The local deposits of garnet pyroxenite are not insignificant, but play no role in the everyday life of the quarry and thus end up mostly unnoticed on large spoil heaps. There, the rough stones have to be painstakingly gathered together and then sent to a grinding plant.

The pink-red parts are Pyrope, a special kind of garnet, the green-black mother rock is Pyroxenite. This combination poses special challenges for the grinders, because the mineralogical properties such as Mohs hardness, density and fissility are clearly different.

From a stone healing point of view, the combination of the two minerals Pyrope garnet and Pyroxenite is very interesting in its effect: The things necessary for success and the implementation of ideas can be tackled faster and more consistently with the support of the garnet pyroxenite, things that have been lying around can be thrown overboard more easily or can finally be done.
