Donuts can be integrated into jewelry in many ways. Mini donuts, for example, are ideally suited to be incorporated into necklaces or placed in earrings. The large donuts act as eye-catchers on a longer ribbon and can also be used in many other ways with the help of a Donut Holder.

The donuts made of blue aragonite are not dyed; the raw material comes from Argentina.

Blue aragonite is also called oceanite in retail as well as wholesale.

The mineral aragonite was described for the first time in 1796 by the German mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner and named by after the locality in the province of Aragon in northeast Spain; the spelling arragonite is therefore not correct.

Blue aragonite is very closely related to blue calcite; the two minerals differ in cleavage, crystal structure and solubility.
