This brown variety of aragonite (chestnut aragonite) is used to support constant development. The mineral strengthens in the event of excessive demands and stress and helps to assess and implement things correctly. The American author Melody assigns aragonite to the sign Capricorn.

The mineral aragonite was first described in 1796 by the German mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner and named after the Localities in the province of Aragon in north-eastern Spain; the spelling arragonite is therefore not correct.
