An unusual object made of garnet!
For this piece a garnet crystal was polished and reground - so the optical impression of the garnet with its typical angular crystal shape is created. The diameter of the garnet stone is about 5cm.
Garnet and its effect is already described by Hildegard von Bingen as a stone under the name "carbuncle": "The carbuncle grows during the lunar eclipse and is still warm. [...] Therefore it has its glow from the fire of the sun at the rising of the moon, and vin therefore it comes that it shines more in the night than in the day. Also in the modern stone medicine the garnet (Almandine) is estimated; the mineral makes energetic and activates the own forces. Use the effect of the mineral, for example, as a meditation object!
