According to the international nomenclature the Onyx Marble is mineralogically correctly called Calcite-Aragonite or Aragonite-Calcite, Onyx Marble however is the common trade name. Other names in common use in retail as well as wholesale are Kalkonyx, Calcite-Alabaster, Ribbon Marble, Aragonite Marble, Chalcedon-Onyx or Marmoronyx. The spelling onix marble, however, is not correct.
