Pectolite - the white Larimar!
Pectolite and Larimar are almost the same mineral, differing only in the copper sulphide chalcocite, which gives Larimar its blue color.
The pectolite tumbled stones are approx. 15 - 35 mm in size; a PU (Packing Unit) of 100 g contains approx. 15 - 20 tumbled stones.
Origin of the raw material: Czech Republic
The Brazilian mineralogist José Bonifácio de Andrada e Silva was the first scientist to describe and name pectolite around 1800. The term is derived from the Greek word petalon (leaf) and refers to its perfect Cleavability.
Other names for pectolite are castorite or castorite as well as gonsogolite and osmelite. Occasionally the spellings pecktolite and pectolite can also be found.

Hello! My name is Marco Schreier, founder of the Mineralienhandlung GmbH of the same name, a specialist wholesaler for minerals, fossils, gemstones, tumbled stones, collector's objects and gift items made of stone. In the year 1998 I founded the brand Maulwurf Geschenke aus der Natur® in order to combine our product range for resellers, museum shops, dealers and other commercial users of the precious stones with our quality guarantee.
You will only receive mineralogically correctly identified stones from us, which promote the joy of collecting and experiencing the precious treasures of nature. Treatments such as coatings or coloring are always declared. Our own production in Asia guarantees the best quality at attractive wholesale prices and fair and transparent product procurement. I personally vouch for this.
