Apatite bracelet with polished 7.5 - 8.5mm beads; threaded onto an elastic band. Length of the bead bracelet approx. 19cm. The beads in an apatite (stab.) bracelet are all the same size.

The name apatite is derived from the Greek word "apatáo" for "to deceive" and was coined in 1786 by the German mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749 - 1817). Since apatite occurs in numerous different forms and colors, there is a great danger that apatite will be confused with another mineral. Spellings such as apartite, apathite, apatite, appatite or apatiet are incorrect.
