Important Information About Turquoise Stabilization
Rough turquoise stones are often porous, relatively soft, and brittle. To ensure they can be safely processed during cutting, polishing, and drilling, the stones are impregnated with a colorless stabilizing resin. The turquoise-blue hues are natural and not artificially dyed. This process, which is standard in the gemstone trade, improves the stability and durability of the material.
