Necklace Spinel (black), 3mm beads faceted, double-row, rhodiniert

The black spinel necklace consists of two rows of faceted 3mm beads. The length of the necklace can be adjusted between 43 and 47 cm using the extension chain.

The lobster clasp, eyelet and extension chain are made from rhodiniert 925 silver.

There are two theories for the origin of the name Spinel: Spinel is either derived from the Greek "spin(n)os" (to sparkle) or from the Latin "spinella" (small thorn). Various spellings of the mineral have been used in Europe since the 16th century, e.g. Spynell, Spinella and Spinellus. Today the spelling Spinel is common, occasionally also Spinnell can be found.
