An inspiring new discovery from Inner Mongolia in northeastern China!
The polished 8mm beads display the full color spectrum, ranging from delicate cream tones to vibrant red-orange and dark brown. Typical of Mongolian agate are the round structures in the grain, to which the mineral also owes its trade name, “red-eyed agate.” Another synonym is Gobi Agate.
The necklace, approximately 70 cm long, is strung on a Cotton Cord, knotted, and combines the stone’s natural appearance with a comfortable fit.
Tradition holds that Mongolian agate was used at its locality of discovery thousands of years ago as a protective stone against negative energies. In modern crystal healing, eye agate is also used as a protective stone. The mineral also helps you face (unpleasant) things and situations—that is, to look them squarely in the eye.
