Chalcopyrite rough stones, approx. 05cm (approx. 4kg/ PU)

The name "Chalcopyrite" (also spelled chalcopyrite) means copper-pyrite (Greek chalkos = copper). Chalcopyrite is brass-yellow, but oxidizes and tarnishes. This is why chalcopyrite is also called peacock ore.

Very popular due to its iridescent colors! Very suitable for crumbling baskets at markets!

1 box with approx. 4kg weight; you will receive approx. 50 stones of chalcopyrite in this flat.

Origin: Province of Zacatecas, Central Mexico.

Chalcopyrite is sometimes incorrectly referred to as Pyrite Agate or Apache gold.
