Each titanium quartz cluster is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece that combines the natural crystal structure of amethyst with an extraordinary, metallic-shimmering surface. Titanium quartz is a trade name for natural quartz whose surface has been subsequently coated with a very thin layer of metal. This finishing process produces the striking iridescent colors and the typical aura effect. Internationally, terms such as “Coated Quartz” or “Aura Quartz” are also commonly used for quartz with this type of coating. The raw material for these clusters is natural amethyst. The metallic, colorful hues are not naturally formed but result from the subsequent surface treatment.
