The beginning of a great passion for collecting?
The small uwarowite specimens are approx. 2.5 - 3.0 cm in size and are supplied together with the informative insert in a plastic pouch. A great gift for all mineral fans at a great price!
The discovery of the mineral Uvarovite happened by chance when the Swiss-Russian mineralogist and chemist Germain Henri Hess was examining a stone from the mineralogical collection in St. Petersburg in 1832. The stone, known as "Dioptase of Bissersk", turned out to be a hitherto unknown, chromium-bearing garnet.
Modern gemstone healing appreciates Uvarovite as a stone that strengthens individuality and independence, arouses curiosity and optimism and conveys enthusiasm and energy for the realization of one's own ideas - a stone for explorers!
