Box of mussels (Pteria penguin), 10-12 x 7-8cm

This beautiful jewelry box made from Mussel shell (Pteria Penguin) and pieces of Otter shell (Lutraria australis) is approx. 10-12 x 7-8 cm in size.

The inside of the shell box is lined with black fabric so that neither the jewelry nor the box are scratched. The German name of the Pteria Penguin shell is winged oyster.

Weight of shell and Mother of Pearl at least 450 ct.
