Diameter of the apatite beads (stab.): 10mm
The apatite strands are 40cm long and strung together for transportation. We recommend always replacing the transport thread with suitable knotting material.
The name apatite is derived from the Greek word "apatáo" meaning "to deceive" and was coined in 1786 by the German mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749 - 1817). Since apatite localities in numerous different forms and colors, there is a great danger that apatite will be confused with another mineral. Spellings such as apartite, apathite, apatite, appatite or apatiet are incorrect.
