The small raw, anpolished nuggets of Turquoise Apatite (blue) are about 7-10mm in size and mostly translucent.

The strand is about 42cm long.

In gemology, apatite is applied to overcome - as its name suggests - apathy and inertia. Motivation and purposeful action are supported.

The name apatite is derived from the Greek word "apatáo" meaning "to deceive" and was coined in 1786 by the German mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749 - 1817). Since apatite occurs in numerous different forms and colors, there is a great danger that apatite will be confused with another mineral. Spellings like apartith, apathite, apatite, appatite or apatiet are not correct.
