The small stones in this inexpensive apatite strand (stab.) are approx. 2-4mm thick and have a diameter of 5-8mm, the entire stringed beads are 40cm long.
Apatite is used in gemstone healing to promote motivation, independence and determination - the mineral can help to overcome apathy.
The name apatite is derived from the Greek word "apatáo" meaning "to deceive" and was coined in 1786 by the German mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749 - 1817). Since apatite localities in numerous different forms and colors, there is a great danger that apatite will be confused with another mineral. Spellings such as apartite, apathite, apatite, appatite or apatiet are incorrect.
